MuYu (pronounced: Moo You) is a traditional Chinese percussion instrument. Commonly known as a "wooden fish," the MuYu is made by hollowing out a rounded block of wood. The blocks are then carved into the shape of a fish. Sounds are made by striking the "wooden fish" with a stick or mallet. Various tones are produced by the different sizes of "wooden fish."
Chinese MuYu is a "wooden fish" simulator. When you touch the various "fish" your device will produce the sounds as if you were knocking the wood block with a stick. You can play along with your favorite music or just annoy your friends. Chinese MuYu also has a "Music" and "Play / Pause" buttons. First introduced in the new to version of Big DaddyO Bongos (bdBongos), which is also available on iTunes, there is the "Music" and "Play / Pause" buttons. You can pick a song from your devices playlist from within the app. Simply tapping the "Music" button will give you a list of the songs on your device. Pick one or more song and press the "Done" button. You will then return to Chinese MuYu (Wooden Fish) were the music is ready to be play by tapping the "Play / Pause" button.
Pressing the "Information" button will take you to the copyright information page where you can listen to the original musical sound track, Rice Paddy Song.
